Away on Holiday?
If you're going away on holiday then you will want to return home to
find everything is ok. To keep your house safe you need to take some
small but sensible precautions.
Ideally you'd have someone house sit - but this can be expensive and
not an option for everyone.
Second best - get someone to check the house daily.
They can water
plants, remove post from behind the door, check alarm isn't triggered,
remove free papers from the letterbox, put back the wheely bin after
the bin men have been.
Clues that no one is home
- Newspapers hanging out of the door
- Pile of post
- Curtains not opened or all shut all day
- bin left in middle of street or drive
- milk piling up outside door
- plants needing watering

If you have a good neighbour who will do these things then this is great
news and you will just have to remember to reward them suitably!
