Packing your holiday suitcaseWhen you're getting ready for your holiday you need to be thinking about packing your cases and taking with you what you will need whilst you're away.
If you're flying you will need to check what you are allowed to take. Something like 20kg is your luggage allowance and you'd be allowed flight bag to take aboard with you. Read through the list of prohibited items too. Always double check the rules for your airline - even if you've flown recently as sometimes changes are made which you need to know about. Usually one case per person is what you need. Always pack your case yourself. Its a question you could be asked at the airport. If you didn't then they will double check everything or even delay your travelling. This is especially true coming back into the country as you will be liable for anything they find untoward.
Packing hints:Wrap anything likely to leak. Put shoes at the bottom. Don't overpack cases. You don't want your clothes burst out! Roll clothes - this makes them less likely to crease badly. Don't wrap gifts Use luggage tags, even on hand luggage Mark your luggage with something that is easy to identify e.g. bright tape. Maybe in stripes?
